Are you looking for a partial or full season job in the Alps? Great, you’ve come to the right place! Keep reading to find out how you can become part of our resort-based team and have the experience of a lifetime.
We are after eager and enthusiastic individuals to join our team of catered chalet hosts. As a catered chalet host, you will be responsible for delivering an impeccable catered experience to the customers staying in your chalet.
The role will require you to prepare breakfast, afternoon tea and dinner each day of the week for your guests as well as clean and maintain the chalet. Most importantly however, will be your role in enhancing the experience of your guests. You are there to ‘host’ them, to advise them on your favourite runs or best places for powder. To help them find the quickest route to the ski-lifts and the best aprés and bar spots in the resort.
Whilst your main role might be to prepare gorgeous meals (don’t worry, we’ll show you how!), you are there to pass on your passion and love for skiing to your customers. To help ensure they love the Alps as much as you do.
As a Buildmyskitrip.com chalet host, you will receive a competitive salary (paid monthly).
Because we’re amazing and great at what we do. We know a company is only as good as its staff and we know that good staff are happy staff. If you’re happy in your role, chances are that our customers will be happy also.
Therefore it is our job to ensure that you love working for us. With us, you will never be just a number. If you are dedicated and give your all, we will do the same. We are determined to create a friendly and happy work environment that you will love and ultimately ensure that your time as a chalet host with us, is one you will always remember (for good reasons of course!).
We expect all of our hosts to be enthusiastic, dedicated and versatile individuals with great personable skills. If you’re comfortable and relaxed in your role, your guests will be also. Whilst previous experience as a chalet host isn’t essential, experience in this or a similar customer related role is preferred.
Knowledge of ski resorts and a basic understanding of French is preferred, but again is not essential. Being a chalet host can require hard work, but it isn’t rocket-science. It is a role that anyone can excel at, provided you have enough determination, dedication and passion to deliver your best. If you think this sounds like you, we want to hear from you!
As we provide training, we do not expect potential hosts to be culinary geniuses (not just yet!), however a passion and some knowledge / experience in cooking is essential (sometimes a recipe book can’t tell you everything).
We require chalet hosts for both the full season as well as chalet host for shorter periods.
You must be aged 18 or over. Most of our hosts tend to be in their early 20’s.
Most chalet hosts may be required to start at the beginning of December. Some may be required from the beginning of January.
Of course you can! You are free to fit in as much ski time as possible, except for on transfer days.
To apply for any of our roles please submit your CV and a covering letter clearly detailing the role you wish to apply for, preferred resort and why we should consider you, to info@buildmyskitrip.com . If you are not applying for a full season, please specify the periods you are available.
Should your application be successful, you will be invited to attend an interview in our London office this summer.
